Important: Lightning Policy

07/14/04 Motion #490:

Moved by Steve Guidi and seconded by Gerry Bowbell that we adopt a lightning policy: If the time between the lightning flash and the thunder is less than 30 seconds, get out of there. Do not resume a suspended game until at least 15 minutes after when the time between lightning and thunder exceeds 30 seconds. If the game cannot be resumed after 15 minutes, the 2/3 rule applies - if more than 2/3 of the game has been played then the score stands, if less than 2/3 has been played, the game will be rescheduled. Practises to follow the same guideline. Carried unanimously.
